Markets and gastronomy

  • Salvagnac: small local producers' market on Wednesday morning and from 5:00 p.m.;
  • Lisle-sur-Tarn: market on Sunday morning;
  • Rabastens: market Tuesday and Saturday morning;
  • Gaillac: local producers' market on Tuesday from 4:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Sunday morning (Place du Griffoul), and large market on Friday morning.
  • Saint-Antonin-Noble-Val : authentic and renowned market (40 minutes/43km) every Sunday morning;
  • Gourmet markets organized by the surrounding villages during the summer;
  • Puycelsi honey farm (11mn/8km);
  • Discovery of the areas of the Gaillac vineyard for an authentic tasting;
  • Wine festival in Gaillac the first weekend of August.

Town centers and shops

  • In Salvagnac (4mn/4km): Bakery, VIVAL supermarket, pharmacy, café-restaurants;
  • La Pause fermière (3mn/3km): local products 7 days a week;

  • Lisle-sur-Tarn (13mn/13km), Rabastens (16mn/13km) and Gaillac (20mn/16km): all shops.

The unavoidable:

  • Lisle-sur-Tarn, a 13th century bastide town, and the hilltop medieval towns of Cordes, Puycelsi, Castelnau-de-Montmiral, Bruniquel and Pennes;
  • And also: the villages of Lautrec, Monestiès, Salles-sur-Cérou, Saint-Martin-Laguépie, Vieux, Vaour, Briatexte, Larroque, Saint-Antonin-Noble-Val…

Nature and leisure

The cottage is located on the edge of a marked “GRP Lisle-Sivens” route, it is a hiking crossing point towards the forest of Sivens and Puycelsi.
